Description

This upright, spreading evergreen tree is fast growing and can reach heights of 40'-65' and widths of 20'-30'. It has a feathery and open character. It is drought resistant and does well in full sun and reflected heat. It is tolerant of salt spray and wet areas (but can be invasive in wet areas). It does not like clay soils or hard frost. This tree can compete with other plants and can become invasive. Photos supplied by Peter Shaw Cabrillo College.

Water Saving Tip:

Fix leaking sprinklers, valves, and pipes.

One broken spray sprinkler can waste 10 gallons per minute - or 100 gallons in a typical 10 minute watering cycle.
