Description

Gerbera jamesonii is a perennial but often grown as an annual. Clumps of tongue-shaped, lobed, 10" long leaves send up slim yet sturdy stems to 1.5' high, each bearing one, slender-petaled, 4"-5" wide daisy, which can be found in red, orange, or yellow. This plant does best in full to part sun with rich, well draining soil. It typically blooms from summer through fall. This is a great plant for cut flower arrangements. It attracts slugs and snails.

Water Saving Tip:

In general, lawns only need to be watered once every three days.
