Description

The golden yellow color of new foliage is characteristic of this variety. Its leaves turn green when they mature, which are showy against a background of deep green. Small leaflets turn yellow during fall. Sunburst can reach 40' tall and 30' wide if grown in full sun. It is a thornless and seedless variety. It has an open habit and spreading crown. It is prone to breaking limbs and pest damage so it's important to prune tree in fall, after leaves have fallen. It does best in full sun with well draining soil. It tolerates heat and cold. Long lived tree.

Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.
