Star Jasmine

Common name:Star Jasmine
Botanical name:Trachelospermum jasminoides

The Star Jasmine is an evergreen vine that grows 20' tall or as a groundcover that reaches 1'-2' tall and 4'-5' wide. It has white fragrant flowers in the summer and can tolerate sun or partial shade. The Star Jasmine is also drought tolerant.

Crape Myrtle

Common name:Crape Myrtle
Botanical name:Lagerstroemia indica

The new leaves of this species are 2" long, bright green, and tinged with bronze. Some cultivars have spectacular fall color. When it has a bare outline, its rounded seed capsules add interest. Its delicate flowers bloom in 6"-12" long clusters. The flower colors could be shades of red, rose, pink, purple, and white, blooming in summer. It thrives on heat, and new cultivars have been created that resist mildew. This tree prefers full sun and has low watering needs once it's established.

Rosyjane Gaura

Common name:Rosyjane Gaura
Botanical name:Gaura lindheimeri 'Rosyjane'

Rosyjane Apple Blossom Grass (Gaura lindheimeri Rosyjane) blooms all summer, with a flurry of pink-edged white flowers held above the foliage on tall, wiry stems. Rosyjane Apple Blossom Grass (also known as Rosyjane Beeblossom) is reliably perennial when planted in a fast draining soil in full, hot sun. You'll appreciate its unusual coloration and long-blooming nature. It also makes an outstanding container plant.
