This evergreen shrub grows to a height of 5'. Its leaves are blue green, and the flowers produced are pea-like, with a purplish pink color.

The Mexican Sage is a bushy shrub that grows 3'-4' tall and wide. It has hairy white stems, gray green leaves and velvet-like purple flower spikes that bloom summer through fall. This shrub tolerates sun, light shade, little water, and is hardy to 15 degrees F. The Mexican Sage is drought tolerant and attracts hummingbirds. -Cornflower Farms

Bitsy Hybrid Daylily

This Daylily has tiny, 2" wide, yellow flowers that bloom in spring and summer. Grassy looking foliage is narrow and slender, reaching 12"- 16" tall. Thin stalks give an airy, fairy-like quality. Flowers spikes are 2' tall. This Daylily tolerates heat and cold. It looks better with regular watering and can be planted in full or part sun. Some gardeners eat the flowers!

Morus alba 'Pendula' is a deciduous tree. This fast growing tree can reach 30'-50' high and wide, but often smaller. Leaves are 6" long and nearly as wide, often lobed.

Crape Myrtle

Botanical name:Lagerstroemia indica

The new leaves of this species are 2" long, bright green, and tinged with bronze. Some cultivars have spectacular fall color. When it has a bare outline, its rounded seed capsules add interest. Its delicate flowers bloom in 6"-12" long clusters. The flower colors could be shades of red, rose, pink, purple, and white, blooming in summer. It thrives on heat, and new cultivars have been created that resist mildew. This tree prefers full sun and has low watering needs once it's established.

Gingerbread Man Hybrid Daylily

Botanical name:Hemerocallis 'Gingerbread Man'

This Daylily has attractive, mahogany and orange blooms over dark green foliage. It is very heat tolerant, blooming in spring and may re-bloom several times if deadheaded. This plant can reach 2' tall. Daylilies can be planted in full to part sun with well draining, fertile soil. It takes regular watering and more during hot summer spells. This plant appreciates a thick layer of mulch. Do not plant in coastal areas.
